You know yourself that when you hear your favorite song on the radio you just want to turn it up and sing at the top of your lungs. Music has the power to uplift and deflate you the same as our language does. It can help up to bring memories back and can be used as a trigger for relaxation.
So it should be no surprise that music can play such an important role when it comes to how you feel throughout pregnancy, labour and birth.
I always suggest mummies to be create a number of playlists to have ready for the day of birth. You could create an uplifting one that gets you dancing around, a more chilled out one and then perhaps an ultimate relaxation one of just music for the background. I also suggest creating a separate playlist for an abdominal birth (c section) so you know you are fully prepared with your music however you birth!

Create your own playlists for labour and birth (don’t forget WiFi is not always very reliable especially if you are birthing in a hospital, so its a good idea to download them onto your device).
