About Me

Hi there,

I am on a mission to help women like you feel confident enough to stand up for what you believe in.  Heard and understood so you can express yourself freely and empowered to take on what ever life chucks your way.

This is about building a community of women.  You know why? Because TOGETHER we are strong, TOGETHER we can do anything.

This isn’t just lip service. I left my ‘normal’ job after nearly 10 years so I can dedicate all my energy to this.  I want to help you to navigate your way through pregnancy and birth feeling like the strong goddess that you are.  I want to help you enter motherhood feeling supported, valued and not alone with a network around you that have your back.

Everything I offer has this underlying vibe.  So that’s me.  That’s what Empowered Bumps is all about.  I am a mummy to two girlies, wife, sister, daughter and friend and I am here for you.

Jenie xx

My Story

When I found out I was pregnant for the first time I found that everyone had a horror story to tell me about how awful and painful it was going to be bringing my little girl into the world. I decided to look into my options and I came across hypnobirthing.

Was I sceptical at first that it could be a positive experience given what so many people had told me? Yes, of course I was!

I went to lots of antenatal classes, read books on hypnobirthing and practiced at home.

Throughout the later stages of pregnancy, I started to feel confident that I could do this and that it could be a wonderful and empowering experience. When I went into labour I put all my practice to the test and birthed my little girl in a calm and relaxed environment in a birthing pool. It really was a magical experience; I feel like I proved that it didn’t have to be a horrible experience.

So the second time around I was obviously going to Hypnobirth!  I still did all the preparation I could just like I suggest in the courses but this time I opted for a home birth.  It was wonderful and I will be writing up my birth story soon so stay tuned!

I want to help other mummies be to have a positive experience of birthing their baby so they can look back on the time feeling positive and empowered.

I am based in Southport but cover South Lancashire and Merseyside.  I offer private hypnobirthing courses in the comfort of your own home and group hypnobirthing courses and The Massage Therapy Rooms by Aimee in Birkdale and at Bumble Bee Photography Studio in Crosby, Liverpool.

I also offer pregnancy relaxation courses and stand alone sessions at Massage Therapy Rooms by Aimee, Birkdale as well as various workshops throughout the year.

I have a passion for helping families achieve a positive birth experience and offer support as a birth and postnatal doula (bump, birth and beyond support).
